About The Paws for a Cause Charity Walk
The Paws for a Cause Charity Walk is a 5k Walk that raises funds for the ABC Animal Shelter. Our mission is to bring people together for a fun-filled day of community, music and prizes while supporting a good cause. Founded by local High School Junior Luke Johnson, the event is being coordinated by local students in conjunction with ABC Animal Shelter.

Register for the Walk
The first Paws for a Cause charity walk takes place November 15, 2025, at Smith Park in Springfield.
​
Participants are encouraged to bring their well behaved four-legged friends and take part in a great 5k community event, followed by music, food trucks, door and raffle prizes and more.
​
Registration is $25 per participant and includes entry into the walk and a Paws for a Cause T-Shirt.
